Creative Breaking Rules
1. 15 minutes total time performance, setup, and cleanup.
2. Competitors may bring materials or buy materials at the event.
3. No fire, no glass.
4. Music is allowed.
5. A professional martial arts uniform is required.
6. Items may not fly into the audience. They must go toward the back of the stage or staging area.
7. The number of stations is unlimited. But it must fit the time constraints. Deduction points will be subtracted accordingly if time has gone over (0.1 of a point off the total averaged score for each 5 second increment).
8. Performances will be scored from 8.5 to 10.0. The highest point performance score will come in first place.
Power Divisions
Power Hand/Arm Wood
Power Hand/Arm Concrete Power Concrete Sidekicks
1. Highest number of concrete slabs broken, followed by the highest percentage broken by one strike as stated in the event name on the given materials in the event name supplied by the event organizers.
2.Power breaking materials must be purchased from the event organizers.
3. Spacers will be provided by the event organizers.
4. Stands will be provided by the event organizers.
5. A professional martial arts uniform is required.
6. 10 minutes total time performance, setup, and cleanup.
Horizontal Combat Board Breaking
(New Event)
1. This event will use space boards held by holder for horizontal strikes.
2. Breaking boards must be purchased from the event organizers.
3. The boards may be taped together for each strike.
4. Spacers will be provided by the event organizers.
5. A professional martial arts uniform is required.
6. There will be 3 minutes total time including 10 second performance, setup and cleanup.
7. For safety, no spinning/back arm strikes, or kicks are allowed.
8. Boards will be held by two or more adult holders.
9. No vertical strikes are allowed unless there is a tie breaker.
10. All four limbs must be used in this event.
11. The hand/arm strike must be a horizontal hand strike, elbow or forearm.
12. The kick must be a horizontal front kick or sidekick.
13. If boards are missed second strikes are not allowed.
14. All strikes must be competed in 10 seconds or less.
15. Strikes after 10 seconds will not count in the final tally.
16. The event will proceed as follows.
a. One arm will break first horizontally then the other arm will immediately follow.
b. One leg will break first horizontally then the other leg will immediately follow.
17. The winner will be decided by highest number broken, followed by the highest percentage broken by the four strikes.
18. In the case of a tie there will be a hammer fist or knife hand strike directly down on spaced boards sat up on concrete stands. Highest number and highest percentage will decide the winner.
